ACUPUNCTURE
Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture and cupping therapy as a technique for balancing the flow of energy— known as chi or qi (chee) — believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body. By inserting needles into specific points along these meridians, your energy flow will re-balance.
National Institutes of Health (NIH) studies have shown that acupuncture is an effective treatment alone or in combination with conventional therapies to treat the following: chronic pain, women’s health, sleep issue, headache, digestive problem, musculoskeletal injuries, neurological symptoms, stroke rehab, and emotional stress.
Acupuncturists are trained to diagnose and treat your condition by using acupuncture needles, moxibustion, cupping, and Tuina (Chinese massage technique), and also able to prescribe exercises when needed.
