MYTH: Just stay off your injury for a while
Getting you back to doing the things you love is important. There is proper healing times for muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones. There are things to DO to help yourself recover.
Doing nothing does NOT help.
In fact, doing nothing leaves you weakened, more stiff and will result in a SLOWER recovery.
Having an injured area properly assessed is a critical first step. If it's not feeling better after a week or two, then it is important to have it looked at to determine the severity as well as the next steps to healing. Leaving it too long will cause secondary problems to creep in.
